WorldZelensky imposes new sanctions on Moscow’s war machine, Russian propagandists and former Ukrainian officials
Ukraine introduced four sanctions decrees signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Aug. 20. They target Russian defense-linked companies and individuals, firms supplying materials for weapons production, people allegedly promoting Russia’s invasion and occupation, and creators and distributors of “Masha and the Bear,” which Kyiv says spreads pro-Russian narratives disguised as children’s content. Penalties include asset freezes, trade restrictions and travel bans.
