OtherBulgaria restricts Kozloduy nuclear plant operations over low Danube water level
Bulgaria will reduce the output of Unit 5 at the Kozloduy nuclear power plant by 120 megawatts on August 21 because the Danube’s water level has reached a critical low. The Energy Ministry said the measure is intended to prevent a potential emergency and ensure safe operation. It is the first capacity cut at the plant in 52 years for environmental reasons.
