France’s Constitutional Council has ruled unconstitutional a law banning social-media use by children under 15, which was due to take effect in September. It said the measure violated children’s freedom of expression and communication, covered all online resources too broadly, and lacked sufficient safeguards for risk assessment, parental consent and age checks.
