PoliticsFrance’s top court blocks social media ban for children

France’s Constitutional Council has blocked a law that would have barred under-15s from opening social media accounts, ruling that it infringed freedom of expression. It also said universal age checks violated freedom and privacy. President Macron has called for the legislation to be rewritten.
