CultureEurovision winners involved in armed conflict barred from hosting next contest

The European Broadcasting Union said the Eurovision winner will not be eligible to host the following year’s contest if the country is involved in an armed conflict or a “sensitive geopolitical situation” that could threaten event safety. The rules were revised after an annual review on August 12.
