WorldZelenskyy condemns lack of missile defences after deadly Russian attack on Kyiv
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy told allies that anti-ballistic defences might have saved lives during a huge Russian attack. Ukraine’s air force said 98 of the 115 drones launched overnight were shot down. Preliminary figures showed that none of the missiles were intercepted. Kyiv is able to stop most drones, but still depends on allied supplies to counter missile attacks. At least 17 people were killed and more than 40 injured in the assault.
