TechEU charges TikTok with failing to protect users’ mental health

The European Commission’s preliminary ruling says TikTok’s algorithm can harm mental health by repeatedly exposing young and vulnerable users to content about body image, eating and isolation. TikTok rejected the commission’s claims as inaccurate and said it has a strong record of protecting users. The EU wants changes to the For You feed.
