Democrats widened their House lead by flipping seats in Ohio, Arizona and North Carolina, moving ahead 253 to 157 with 25 races still uncalled. The final two Senate contests, in Mississippi and Alaska, also remained unresolved. Republicans held two western House seats, while Los Angeles elected Democratic socialist Nithya Raman mayor in a narrow upset over Karen Bass.
