SportsCristiano Ronaldo ends his international football career

Cristiano Ronaldo announced on Thursday that he is retiring from international football, closing a 23-year career with Portugal. The 41-year-old Al-Nassr forward departs with 234 caps and 146 goals, both world records. As captain, he helped Portugal win Euro 2016 and the Nations League in 2019 and 2025. The decision follows weeks of tension with coach Jorge Jesus after Ronaldo left the Portugal squad in September.
