SportsCristiano Ronaldo ends his international football career

Cristiano Ronaldo announced on Thursday that he is retiring from international football, ending a 23-year career with Portugal. The 41-year-old Al-Nassr forward leaves with 234 caps and 146 goals, both world records, and helped Portugal win Euro 2016 and Nations League titles in 2019 and 2025 as captain. The decision follows weeks of tension with coach Jorge Jesus after Ronaldo left the Portugal squad in September.
