EconomyCanva announces changes affecting 22 percent of its staff

Canva CEO and co-founder Melanie Perkins announced changes affecting 1,271 people, or 22 percent of the company’s staff. Some workers may change roles or be asked to relocate, while others will leave. The company is combining product teams, simplifying its structure and making Sydney the main base for more product teams. From January, most hybrid employees will be expected to work in an office two to three days a week. Departing staff will receive at least six months’ salary, a year of healthcare coverage and career support.
