WorldYouth-led rallies sweep Europe

Protests in France helped spur youth demonstrations in Portugal, Italy and Germany. Germany saw especially large rallies on Saturday, led by an initiative whose name roughly means “Gen Z has got this.” Protesters called for better education and healthcare, stronger climate protections and lower living costs, while opposing any return to compulsory military service. Demonstrations in several major German cities turned violent late in the day, especially in Frankfurt.
