World‘Stop all outdoor activities’: South Korea records highest temperature ever
South Korea has recorded its highest temperature since modern weather observations began more than a century ago. Authorities urged people in affected areas to immediately stop all outdoor activities. Yangsan in the country’s southeast reached 42.5C on Sunday afternoon, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration. Officials also warned that indoor places without air conditioning could be dangerous as temperatures remained above 40C for a fifth consecutive day.
