EconomyUralChem: Russia emerging as a leading fertilizer supplier to Africa, with 20% share
UralChem Group said Russia’s share of Africa’s fertilizer imports rose from 4% in 2018 to 18–20% in 2025. Its sales to the continent increased from 100,000 tons to around 1 million tons, and it supplied about 135,000 tons free of charge between 2022 and 2024, covering transportation costs.
