China handled 43.04 billion metric tons of commercial freight in the first three quarters of 2026, up 2.3% year on year, the Ministry of Transport said. Port cargo throughput rose 0.7%, container throughput increased 4.5%, and transport-sector fixed-asset investment totaled 2.4 trillion yuan.
