The China-Europe freight train network’s eastern corridor handled 6,024 trips so far this year, up 40.3% year on year and the first time the annual total has topped 6,000. Cargo is increasingly shifting toward higher-value goods such as electronics, photovoltaic products and high-end equipment. Shijiazhuang and Shanghai also reported record foreign-trade figures for the first three quarters.
