PoliticsFrance: Thousands march in Orléans against National Rally congress

Thousands of anti-fascist protesters marched in Orléans on Saturday against a congress of Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally. Demonstrators chanted and carried anti-far-right banners, while criticising Le Pen and President Emmanuel Macron. The protest came amid renewed nationwide demonstrations over living costs, a week after rallies turned violent. The two-day congress was also a major campaign event for Le Pen ahead of France’s presidential election in six months.
