WorldFrance tightens restrictions and bans some protests

After violence broke out alongside last week’s mobilisations, France is preparing for another weekend of protests. A partial curfew in parts of Paris will remain in place until Monday, while protests are completely banned in Marseille and Lyon. Some 70,000 security personnel will be deployed on Saturday, and only union demonstrations will be allowed.
