PoliticsFrance tightens restrictions and bans some protests

France is preparing for another weekend of protests after violence on the sidelines of last week’s mobilisations. A partial curfew in parts of Paris will remain in place until Monday, while demonstrations are banned in Marseille and Lyon. Some 70,000 security personnel will be deployed Saturday, and only union protests are permitted.
