Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez accused the United States of using threats of sanctions, punitive tariffs and other measures to pressure third countries against backing a UN draft resolution calling for an end to the US embargo on Cuba. The resolution is due for a General Assembly vote on October 28 and, for the first time, addresses the fuel and energy blockade imposed in January 2026.
