PoliticsCuba accuses US of threatening countries ahead of UN embargo vote

Cuba says the United States has threatened countries with tariffs, visa restrictions and other retaliation to get them to change their votes on a UN resolution calling for an end to the decades-old embargo. Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said US officials also threatened to suspend cooperation, deny visas and support opposition parties. The vote is expected on October 27 or 28.
