TechOpenAI employee arrested over alleged recording device at headquarters

An OpenAI employee was arrested after a recording device was allegedly planted in a conference room at the company’s San Francisco headquarters. OpenAI reportedly found it on September 30 and launched an internal investigation, alongside an FBI inquiry. Investigators say footage showed the device being placed in a television’s USB port two days earlier. The report identifies the employee as 35-year-old Saudi national Abdul Raheem Alosan.
