WorldIsraeli forces lay siege to West Bank town, detain at least 53 Palestinians

Israeli forces have besieged Biddu in the occupied West Bank since Sunday, taking over a house and detaining at least 53 people. Soldiers also raided homes, vandalised property and assaulted Palestinians, forcing schools and shops to close. The operation followed the fatal shooting of an Israeli settler near Halamish.
