WorldFormer Kosovo President Hashim Thaci Found Guilty of War Crimes, Sentenced to 25 Years

Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has been convicted of war crimes and sentenced to 25 years in prison. He resigned six years ago to face the charges and stood silently in The Hague as the sentence was read. The 58-year-old was found guilty of murder, torture, cruel treatment and arbitrary detention linked to crimes committed while he was a top Kosovo Liberation Army commander during the late-1990s war for independence from Serbia.
