WorldFormer Kosovo President Hashim Thaci sentenced to 25 years for war crimes

A war crimes tribunal in The Hague has sentenced former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci to 25 years in prison for crimes linked to the 1990s war for independence from Serbian control. Judges dismissed charges of targeting civilians but convicted Thaci and co-defendants Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi of murder, cruel treatment, torture and arbitrary detention.
