WorldFormer Kosovo President Hashim Thaci Found Guilty of War Crimes

Protests have erupted in Kosovo after a tribunal in The Hague sentenced former President Hashim Thaci to 25 years in prison. He was convicted of war crimes committed while commanding the Kosovo Liberation Army during the 1998–99 Kosovo conflict. Many ethnic Albanians in Kosovo consider Thaci a hero of the independence struggle.
