WorldCar bomb explodes in Colombia a day after president takes office

A car bomb exploded Saturday in southwestern Colombia, according to the army. The blast came one day after conservative political newcomer Abelardo de la Espriella was sworn in as the country’s new president. The army alleged that two dissident groups from the now-defunct Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, carried out the attack.
