ScienceWhat to know about a total solar eclipse crossing Spain

Mainland Spain is set to experience a total solar eclipse for the first time in more than a century. Darkness will spread across the Iberian Peninsula near sunset on Aug. 12. The event will occur as the sun, moon and Earth align with remarkable precision in the sky. Partial areas of Greenland and Iceland will also be included along the eclipse’s path.
