Hesai Group, the world’s largest maker of lidar sensors for vehicles, has introduced its handheld Kosmo 3D spatial camera as it seeks new growth opportunities in physical AI. The company calls it a “physical AI eye”; it turns real environments into detailed, editable 3D models and is designed to standardise digitisation of complex spaces such as campuses and factories.
