The 2026 Global Mayors Dialogue opened in Luoyang over the weekend, bringing together more than 90 mayors and deputy mayors, along with other participants from over 10 countries. Discussions covered cultural heritage preservation, industrial upgrading and urban renewal. The city showcased efforts to balance heritage protection with development, as well as its tourism and manufacturing sectors.
