EconomyStandard Chartered begins custody of Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin
Standard Chartered says eligible institutional clients can now custody Ripple-issued RLUSD on the XRP Ledger through its Dubai International Financial Centre branch. The arrangement is intended to let clients use the stablecoin as collateral for LMAX trading without transferring tokens to the venue, though integration still awaits documentation, testing, regulatory requirements and internal approvals. RLUSD’s market capitalization rose by $765.3 million in the third quarter.
