WorldEU weighs Schengen visas for Russian tourists valid only in certain territories
An EU Council working group’s visa-policy agenda includes a proposal to issue Russian citizens limited-territorial-validity visas for “non-essential travel,” including tourism. The group is due to meet on October 14, but it is unclear whether it will consider issuing Russians only these visas. Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo has called for a complete halt to Russian tourist visas and plans to raise the proposal at the October 15–16 EU summit.
