After winning the Socialist party’s centre-left primary and becoming its social-democratic presidential candidate, French MEP Raphaël Glucksmann called on the centre left to unite against Marine Le Pen’s far right in the 2027 election. He said the campaign would be exceptionally brutal and argued that the left must believe it can win.
