Anwar Naeem, secretary general of the Association of Maldivian Indigenous Medicine Practitioners, said traditional medicine grows out of the environment people live in. Maldivian practice adapts outside traditions to available local resources. He said China and the Maldives could share knowledge and arrange training to support practitioners and improve public health in both countries.
