Tokenized stocks covered by the SEC’s September exemption must provide shareholder rights equivalent to traditional shares, but their trading venues may fall outside key Regulation NMS protections. Douro Labs has asked SEC staff for provider-neutral principles to assess external price feeds. The exemption requires venue disclosures and safeguards, while FINRA-member brokers retain applicable best-execution duties for covered customer trades.
