PoliticsUS opens antitrust probe into networks’ suspension of Trump coverage
The Justice Department is investigating whether ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and Fox News violated federal antitrust law when they halted coverage of Donald Trump last month. The suspension followed the White House’s removal of credentials for reporters from three outlets. A department spokesperson said group boycotts by commercial competitors can violate the Sherman Act.
