TechDistroKid has been quietly taking down songs in response to UMG lawsuit
DistroKid confirmed to The Verge that it removed a small number of recordings in response to claims by UMG, which sued the distributor in September over what it called an “AI-slop pipeline.” Artists say their work, including music they describe as non-AI, was taken down without notice or explanation. DistroKid disputes UMG’s allegations and says it is working to limit disruption for artists.
