PoliticsTrump calls on Ukraine to replace Zelensky
Trump told reporters on October 10 that Ukraine should find a new president who can “make a deal.” He criticized Zelensky over strikes on diesel-fuel targets and said Ukraine should stop. A day earlier, Trump agreed with Putin to supply Russian diesel to U.S. and global markets. The U.S. Treasury then issued a temporary license allowing Russian diesel to reach global markets despite U.S. sanctions, through April 7, 2027. Ukraine criticized the deal, and Zelensky called Russia’s decision to permit oil-product sales “an investment in the war.”
