EconomyCelsius founder faces lifetime ban but can still trade his own crypto
Alex Mashinsky, founder of bankrupt crypto lender Celsius, agreed to a permanent ban from securities, commodities and crypto businesses in a New York settlement, with conditional state payment obligations of up to $35 million. The deal creates no new payout for Celsius creditors and preserves his ability to trade personal crypto. The agreement also records his admission that he misled investors about Celsius’s regulatory approval and his sales of CEL tokens.
