UAE prosecutors say Flydubai co-pilot Hammam al-Hammami tried to take control of a Dubai-to-Tel Aviv passenger flight and planned a suicide attack on Ben Gurion airport’s terminal. He attacked the pilot with an emergency axe before passengers subdued him; the plane landed safely in Saudi Arabia. Al-Hammami confessed to acting alone, while investigations continue.
