A jury found political blogger DJ Byrnes guilty of telecommunications harassment for texting Republican Ohio state Sen. Jerry Cirino an explicit image of Shrek and an insulting message. A judge ordered Byrnes, who runs The Rooster, to pay a $200 fine. Byrnes argued the text was protected speech; Cirino said the case concerned harassment, not what Byrnes writes on his blog.
