Ethereum Foundation research examines transaction assertions that enforce rules based on outcomes. But if the app or service assembling a transaction can set a permissive threshold, the check may offer little financial protection. EIP-7906 remains a draft and proposes read-only post-transaction checks of state changes; it would not require every transaction to include an assertion.
