Russia’s Finance Ministry reported a federal budget deficit of 5.2 trillion rubles, or 2.2% of GDP, for January–September 2026. Revenues rose 10% year on year to 29.639 trillion rubles, while spending increased 14.5% to 34.825 trillion rubles. The ministry expects the full-year deficit to stay within 3.2% of GDP.
