EconomyEU’s Covid recovery fund was ‘absolutely a success,’ says auditor Pierre Moscovici

European countries showed solidarity during the Covid crisis by jointly procuring vaccines and agreeing on a large post-pandemic recovery fund. Since 2021, the Recovery and Resilience Facility has paid out €450 billion in grants and loans to EU member states. As it enters its crucial final phase, French European Court of Auditors member Pierre Moscovici assesses its progress.
