Unrest linked to high school student protests in France has caused at least €30 million in damage, AFP reported, citing the Education Ministry. Officials say demonstrations have eased for several days and become more localized. A total of 141 education establishments were closed Friday. Protests over overloaded schedules, teacher shortages and other education problems have sometimes turned into clashes with police; nearly 6,900 people have been detained, 86% of them minors.
