EconomyMore than a third of Russian companies to skip annual bonuses in 2026

A survey of 1,076 Russian companies found that 46.9% do not plan to pay year-end bonuses; 36.2% paid them a year ago but will skip them in 2026. Declining financial results were the most commonly cited reason, as higher costs, weak demand and high interest rates squeeze profits. Small-business employees are expected to be hit hardest, while some firms may switch to quarterly or non-cash rewards.
