Bitquery analyzed 273 US Senate, House and gubernatorial primaries using reference prices. The highest-priced candidate won 238 races, an 87% hit rate, but a hypothetical $1 bet on each favorite lost four cents per dollar. The study used pre-election trades as reference prices and did not cover every market or fully adjust for spreads, slippage or fees.
