PoliticsPentagon pledges livestream of first military execution in decades
The Pentagon said on Thursday that it would livestream the first US military execution in more than 65 years. Nidal Hasan, a former Army psychiatrist, killed 13 people in a 2009 shooting at Fort Hood, Texas; his execution is scheduled for December 3, 2026, at the base. The UN human rights office said livestreaming an execution amounts to a public execution and breaches the absolute ban on torture.
