During the National Day holiday, Guangzhou South Railway Station handled 1.049 million arrivals and departures in one day, becoming the first Chinese station to exceed 1 million. By midnight Thursday, holiday traffic reached 5.59 million, up 7.4% year on year and a record for the holiday.
