EconomyVirgin unveils plans for cross-Channel trains to compete with Eurostar

Virgin has shown a mock-up of trains for planned London-to-mainland Europe services starting in 2030. It has ordered 12 trains from Alstom and says the design and passenger experience will draw on its airline, cruise and hotel businesses. The Office of Rail and Road confirmed UK track access until at least 2040.
